Gingham Frills.

T-shirt - Topshop | Skirt - Zara | Bag - Zara | Boots - Office | Leather Jacket - Topshop

Zara is definitely my go to shop at the moment, however they always seem to reign over every other high street retailer. I walked in to the Manchester store the other day for a quick browse and I came out with a heavy bag and big but very reasonable hit to my bank account. I bought 4 pieces altogether including this lust-worthy gingham skirt and black bucket bag. I've seen gingham pieces across many blogs over the last few months and I finally got my hands on my own.

It seems I had perfect timing investing in this piece as it's now completely sold out online. The asymmetric hem and single ruffle detailing gives the skirt a luxury designer feel, so for under £23 who wouldn't snap this up? It is however very on the short side, so I went up a size to accommodate for an extra inch in length.

I kept the skirt as the statement piece in this look with this basic white nibbled hem tee from Topshop. I have definitely been over-wearing this tee lately, however it's such a good go to piece and it looks good with everything, hence why it has already been featured in two of my previous posts. They've brought out an array of different colours to suit everyone's needs as it is literally the perfect t-shirt in terms of material and shape, and it is another bargain piece at just £12.

On to the bag. I have actually been looking for a new bag for a while now, however when you spend hours scrolling through the latest designer pieces nothing seems to compare. I wasn't particularly looking for a bag of this size, but its a perfect every day bag and I loved its simplicity and unusual awkward shape. I have been using my mini studded Zara bag every day since I bought it a few months ago, so I felt as though I needed a bag update and this is the only one which has caught my eye in a while. This was an easy to throw on day time outfit and it's definitely my favourite in a while.
