Gingham Goals.

I'm not one for wearing a lot of print, but you can guarantee when I do it will be monochrome. Some of my favourite pieces in my wardrobe are gingham (see another post here) and this dress instantly caught my eye when I was scrolling through the PLT website. Gingham and frills seem to be an unbeatable combination for me, and this bardot style added something new to my wardrobe. I don't wear a lot of dresses at the moment mainly because I prefer having more to work with and style when planning my outfits, however this dress didn't need much work to make it look amazing.

As I've mentioned in a previous post, belts are my go to accessory (along with hats which you've probably guessed), however with the attached tie belt I had to look elsewhere. Adding dark simple accessories kept the focus on the dress and it definitely deserved to steal the limelight. There are so many ways of styling this dress to suit your own personal style, however I opted to add a bit of edge with my patent heeled boots, military style hat and bloggers favourite Zara bag. I chose not to wear a jacket for shooting this dress, however there'd be no better option than a black leather biker making it the perfect day to night outfit.

I do admit I didn't style this dress the most weather appropriately, but do I ever?! I'm allowed to do that, I'm a fashion blogger and the usual rules don't apply. You could definitely style this dress for winter with a black oversized aviator jacket, tights and chunky boots and I'll be rocking this look myself away from the camera. I can't believe it's still the middle of Winter and the hot Summer months seem so far away right now, however versatile pieces which can be worn all year round are a great addition to your wardrobe and this dress will definitely be coming away with me this year in the Summer. Everyone has heard the saying "Get you a guy (or girl) who can do both", well why not have a dress that can do both too?
