One Dress Three Ways.

The little black bodycon dress - every girls best friend. I love adding a good staple piece to my wardrobe, sometimes a little too much that everything looks boring. However you certainly can't go wrong with an LBD and they are so versatile for any occasion. They are great for layering, pairing with a statement jacket or even wearing on their own with a killer pair of heels for the ultimate go to night out look, so here are three ways I would choose to wear my new Nicce essential dress.

Black on black layering.

As much as I love getting my legs out for as long as I can get away with throughout the year, sometimes it is just a little bit too cold. The solution if you don't want to put your favourite LBD away until next summer? Layering. Worn over a pair of leather trousers gives a sophisticated yet edgy look which can be worn in the day with a pair of trainers or dressed up at night with a pair of black pointed boots. I thought I had grown out of my black on black phase, however now the weather is getting colder I can slowly see my Instagram colour palette getting darker. You can't go wrong with black, however if you wanted to add a pop of colour a bright leather jacket or even a jumper layered over the top would keep you looking less gothic.

Day time cool.

For my second look I chose to wear my dress with this amazing shearling coat, fedora and black boots. Shearling is once again going to be hugely popular this winter and it really dresses down my LBD so I can wear it in the day. This is the perfect look for the weekend when you're going out in the day but still want to look like you're not hungover from one too many after work drinks the night before, and it is ideal for shopping or going out for lunch. As you have probably realised I am definitely a hat gal, and although my fedora has been hiding at the back of my wardrobe since last year I think it is going to start making an appearance again.

Date night.

Date night is always a difficult one. Do I dress up or do I look like I haven't tried too hard? I guess it depends on how many dates you have been on with this particular guy, but this look would be ideal for a first date or one where you're trying to impress. The LBD and killer boots combination give the wow factor, but the checked coat tones it down so it still leaves a little to the imagination. Perfect for a date night meal and drinks or many cocktails.
