The Ultimate Spring Suit.

I remember the first time I tried on a suit. It was about 3 years ago when I worked in Topshop Personal Shopping, it was a gorgeous coral pink and I had never felt better. There is definitely a reason they call this power dressing. It is part of the job in Personal Shopping to take pictures in Topshop clothes and promote the brand as much as you can, and I was Topshop girl through and through (and probably always will be). Unfortunately the sensible side of my brain persuaded me not to buy it as let's be honest, how often would you really get chance to wear a pink suit? I tried it on, got a picture for the gram and put it back on the shop floor, but I can certainly say I have regretted this decision ever since.

I do feel like I've got to a point in my life and career that I can afford to comfortably buy things that I don't necessarily need. Ok so as a fashion blogger and influencer it is true that I don't actually have to spend a penny on clothes, but choosing clothes from the same brands every month does get tiring and it's nice to treat yourself from time to time. I had never come across a suit I loved as much as the pink one up until a few months ago just before LFW. Again, a suit is not something I would casually wear and it's very unlikely I would even wear one on a night out, but what better excuse than Fashion Week?! I saw another Fashion Blogger wearing an amazing monochrome suit from NA-KD fashion on Instragam stories, and I know I couldn't let the opportunity slip again.

Since buying my suit for London Fashion Week there has been no stopping me and I now have about 4 sitting in my wardrobe I will probably never wear, but a skirt suit is something I have never invested in! If you have followed me for a while or know me personally you will know I love any excuse to get my legs out - I even went out on a Saturday night with bare legs when it was snowing so a skirt suit is a dream come true for me! Although I did stick to the smart look for this outfit with a classic pair of black pointed boots, I can't wait to dress this down with a pair of converse or chunky trainers. Summer is definitely just around the corner now, so bring on the bare leg weather. Not only is the checked pattern on this suit to die for, but it is super affordable at just under £50 so who cares if you don't wear it much anyway?
